Flames Boys

SoccerI am doing indoor soccer. My coach split us up into two teams. One he named the Flames Girls, and the other one the Flames Boys. I am on the Flames Boys Team 🙂

There are eight people on my team. So far we have only played boys. We have been not been doing very good.  But the boys are higher levels and play differently because they are boys. We get practice playing differently so we most likely will  improve.

Soccer3I like it. I prefer outdoor soccer because there are not all these walls you can bounce on. I also have trouble figuring out where the ball will bounce off the wall. But it is fun.

All of my indoor soccer games are at the Sports Center on Saturday mornings. Here is my schedule as of now if you want to come watch.
22 November 7:00
29 November 9:00
6 December 8:00
13 December 8:00
20 December 8:00
3 January 10:00

Tempory Insanity

LarvaWe went to bug night. There were lots of fun things to do.  Larva and box

CricketAudrey had a butterfly table. The whole family helped with it.

I ate some bugs because Momma dared me to.  I tried a cheddar cheese larva and a chocolate covered cricket. They said the crickets would taste like Twix.  They don’t!

They were not as bad as I thought. I would do it again without having to be dared. I probably would not eat them live though.

Momma tried them too. She said she would prefer to try an unflavored larva since the cheese tasted weird.  The chocolate cricket had a funny aftertaste, but it was not too bad.

Luke

FeedingLuke is a baby alpaca. He is five days old. The first day, we thought he was eating but he wasn’t.

On Saturday he looked sick, so the neighbors took him to the vets. They said it looked funny because everyone brought in their dogs and their cats, and put them on their laps. The neighbors came in, holding an alpaca and put him on their lap!

The vet said that Luke wasn’t eating and might have something called “dumb foal”. I don’t understand what that means, but we plan to research it and learn what it is.

So right now, we are bottle feeding him.  We are trying to have him nurse from his momma too.  He is not exactly acting like other newborn alpacas, but he is acting a lot better than he did.

P.S  Luke started to have more seizures and got really sick.  He went to the vets but did not come home.

Heading to Work

Mark and I went to work early today. Momma came with us with the camera and said “let’s pretend we are getting National Geographic pictures.” She did not want us to pose, but wanted to get real pictures of what we do.

I feed the animals and do their water. I get Mark what he needs. I also play with the animals. Mark cleans up the alpacas stalls.

I like working. My favorite animals are the kittens and then the alpacas. It is funny when the kittens come into the alpaca area so they can go out the back door. They go between the squares in the fence and then between the alpacas feet to get where they want to go. They also like to climb the goats stalls. At night or in the summer, we do not give the alpacas hay. We do not give the goats pellets at night either.

Enjoy the pictures. They are all different colors, because some are under heat lamps and some under regular lights.
