Camp Patmos

Being able to go to camp Patmos to help this summer was a lot of fun.

First, I had to learn how to fill out an application.  It was okay, but a little challenging.  The next one will be a lot easier.

Then I got to learn how to work in the kitchen during staff training.  I stayed the first week of camp to help.

Here are some pictures of when I was heading home.  I will post more when I have the chance.

P.S.  I would really like to go help again soon.

With Auntie Kristie before leaving.
Taking the ferry for the first time by myself.
On the other side with Daddy!

Camp

Andrea is getting to help in the kitchen at Camp Patmos. She has been so excited about what she will learn and the people she will get to know better!

She is not sure exactly what all she will be doing, but so far she has helped in the kitchen during a marriage retreat, been photographer for a few hours, watched while a wedding cake was decorated, and played with small children.

Andrea is looking forward to new challenges and being able to share her beautiful smile!

New Challenge

I am “sneaking” on to share how proud I am of Andrea and her willingness to try something new.

After a lot of rain and the weather turning colder, we decided that Allan would take Andrea to her “away” soccer game and the rest of us stay home.  Andrea’s team played 9 players with no trained goalies against a team with 11 on the field (and 5 substitutes) for the entire game.

At half time, the first goalie sub was cold and tired, and coach told Andrea to replace her.  Andrea has never played that position, has never even wore goalie gloves, but she went and tried her best.

Unfortunately, we forgot to send my camera with Allan, but he was still able to use his phone some….

Great job Andrea, we are very proud of you!
