Reading

For English, I am doing “Cover Story”. I am going to learn how to write a magazine. Today we studied about adverbs.  You don’t want to use them often. Today we had to use a sentence from our book to write a short story without using adverbs. Here is my sentence starter: Priscilla devoured her sandwich hardly without breathing.

Here is my finished story.

Priscilla is three. She loves fall because she likes playing in leaves and she adores sweaters.

One day in fall, Priscilla’s Momma said, “Priscilla, when you are done with your sandwich, you can play outside.” Priscilla devoured here sandwich hardly without breathing.

She put her sweater on without being told because she loved sweaters, remember? Then she ran out. Soon her momma came out with her shoes, socks and a cookie.  Her momma laughed, “you forgot your shoes and socks”.

Priscilla  put her shoes and socks on without complaining even though she did not like shoes and socks. Her momma gave her the cookie and returned to the house. Priscilla made a leaf castle and played in the leaves with her dolls until dinner.

The End

Barn Cats

Andrea and KittensThere was a new alpaca born yesterday. We went over to see it. The kittens were sitting and grooming themselves. I crawled up on the hay bale to pet the one and the other one posed for Momma.

Paul is the striped one.  Paul thinks he is a dog, he follows you everywhere. He loves you scratching his head. He likes to sneak in and nibble the dog food. When we open the back door, he runs out.

There was a repair man at the house the other day. Whenever he came out, Paul snuck into the house. Mrs. Beer would find him somewhere and tell the man that he did not belong in the house because he was a BARN CAT. But Paul got into the house over and over and over again!

Holly likes being petted and likes people, but only when she wants it. Momma says she is a “real” cat.  Holly is usually on the hay sitting in the sun because she is lazy!

Newest Picture

AndreaWhen I took a break from practicing soccer, I sat on the rock.  Momma said “I am going to take a picture”, ’cause I looked cute. After Momma took a few pictures, I went and played some more.

I had a game on Monday. We had a tie! I am doing good at the games, but have not made a goal yet. I almost make them, but not quite.  I can make goals during practice so I keep trying.

My next game is on Sunday at NIBCO at 3:00.  I hope to try for a goal then 🙂

Soccer Game

Soccer We had our second soccer game on Sunday afternoon. The score was 1-0!

My coach has been getting sick with bad headaches, so we have a new coach for this season. If you think of it, please pray for Coach Elliot.

My new coach is Coach Dan. He is very different! He seems nice, but we have not had him for practice yet.

First Soccer Game with Middlebury Magic

Soccer Soccer2 Soccer3 Soccer 3

We had our first first fall soccer game on Wednesday. Our coach was not there because she was sick.

It was the first time that I ever got to start playing at the beginning of the game! It was a hard game. The score was 0-5. I tried my best and I still had fun.

My next game is Sunday, the 15th of September at 1:30.  It is at the NIBCO soccer field if you want to come watch.

Soccer at Notre Dame

Andrea playingThis weekend we went to the Notre Dame Women’s Soccer game. We got to welcome the ND team in with hand slaps.

Then my team got to play at half time. It was the first time I played 11 x 11. The field was small and there was lots of people on it, since we only played on half of the field.

They played a good game, but the one goal they made was declared “off sides” so it did not count. Notre Dame did good, but they lost by one point at the end.

I had fun! It was fun to watch older girls play soccer. I have a lot to learn!

Fall Soccer

SoccerI started fall soccer. I have the same team with a few new girls and a new coach. Coach Elliot is a lot stricter, but I will learn a lot with her!

This weekend I get to go watch a Notre Dame game.  During half time, I get to scrimmage on the field.

This year, my coach wants me to learn to do 50 juggles and run one mile. I can run a mile with a short break in the middle, but I can only do 6 juggles right now. Please pray that I learn!

If you want to come to one of my games, here is the schedule. We will get directions closer to the game date if you need them.

Colorado Tea Party

We had a tea party with our aunts while we were in Colorado. The boys went exploring and learning about Oma’s old home.

We had cookies, apples and almonds to eat. Everybody talked and had a great time!

I am looking forward to our next Colorado Tea party! I hope it is sooner than two years from now! I really like my aunts and I like Colorado.

Cold Drinks

Cool DrinksOur neighbors are having a garage sale. We asked if we could have a stand by them.  We had a cold drink stand with home made cookies. We sold 47 individual cookies and 2 baker’s dozens!

I want to do it again tomorrow, I liked to talk to people.
