I made some cookies and ice cream cones.<\/p>\n<p>Here is the recipe:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>3 large eggs (optional: 4 eggs for a thinner batter)<\/li>\n<li>3\/4 cup sugar<\/li>\n<li>2 tsp vanilla (anise, almond extract or another flavor you like)<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 cup butter melted and cooled<\/li>\n<li>1 3\/4 cups flour<\/li>\n<li>2 tsp baking powder<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 cup cocoa (if you want chocolate cookies.\u00c2\u00a0 Might need 1\/4 cup extra sugar)<\/li>\n<li>Finely chopped nuts (optional)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Beat eggs and sugar until light yellow.\u00c2\u00a0 Add butter and vanilla, beat until blended.\u00c2\u00a0 Sift together flour and baking powder (and cocoa).\u00c2\u00a0 Fold into butter mixture.\u00c2\u00a0 If using nuts, sprinkle on top of dough before closing iron.<\/p>\n<p>Optional:\u00c2\u00a0 Use orange peel or extract instead of vanilla and add 1\/4 cup mini chocolate chips to batter before baking.<\/p>\n<p>Bake on pizzelle iron as directed.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>My great grandma Bea used to make Pizzelles and share them with us.\u00c2\u00a0 She would make a bunch and store them in a tin coffee can.
