\"\"<\/a>Momma bought some cacao nibs to try.\u00c2\u00a0 They taste interesting, kind of like concentrated dark chocolate chips. They taste bitter like coffee beans.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>We decided to try making chocolate candy.\u00c2\u00a0 We mixed equal parts of coconut oil with the ground raw cacoa beans (Momma said raw is much better for us).\u00c2\u00a0 Then we added ground Demerara (unrefined) sugar.\u00c2\u00a0 We wanted it to blend well and not be a grainy candy. Then we added some ground almonds.\u00c2\u00a0 The recipe Momma used suggested ground coconut, but we did not have any.\u00c2\u00a0 Mix it well and put it in candy molds then put in the refrigerator and wait.\u00c2\u00a0 We pulled the candy to soon and it melted when we took it out of the mold, so be patient. It was good when we tasted it but melted very easily.\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

We had some extra and put it on top of vanilla ice cream and it was GOOD.\u00c2\u00a0 It was hard when we tasted it.\u00c2\u00a0 \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

We should try it again, but try it with the coconut. We are also looking for a different recipe to try.\u00c2\u00a0 Momma wants to see about one with cocoa butter too. Maybe it won’t melt as easily.<\/p>\n
