Going in a balloon

Last Thursday we went to one of Daddy’s cousins–Big Mark’s–house.  Daddy’s school was having Homecoming.   I will try to write more about Homecoming later.

Saturday night, we went on a hot air balloon.  We were going camping when we saw a hot air balloon.  It was tethered.  Tethered means tied.  We waited for a couple of minutes.  We went on it.  Two came off and three came on.  then the other two came off, and the other three came on.

It felt fun.  I could feel a breeze.  Adrian was nervous when he saw it go up, but when he got on and went up, he liked it.

I liked it.  I was excited!  I would do it again.

Adrian’s First Time Making Noodles.

Yesterday we made noodles.   Audrey wanted to make some.

The ingredients are a bowl, eggs, oil, water, and flour.  You put the flour in the bowl and then you put the eggs in the bowl.  Then the water in the bowl.  And then the oil.  You mix it good.  Then we let the dough sit for awhile.

We put a little bit of flour on the noodle maker and a little on the counter.  Mark went first, he rolled the noodles.  Then Audrey did the same thing as Mark.  Then Adrian did the same thing.  I took pictures of it because it is his first time spinning the wheel.  Then it was my turn and Momma took pictures of me.

We put the noodles in a pot of boiling water.  They cook fast!  Then we ate them with turkey broth and carrots.  I liked them!  I like the skinny noodles!

Then we logged on to Chore Wars.  I don’t know how Daddy got it on there, it is where the firefox was.  Then we can log on and if you did something, you can say what you did and you get points.  You have these little people that are characters of you.

You have to write in your name and then you make a fake name.  My fake name is Princess Renee.  You make your bed, clean off the table, clean off the floor, put your toys away; and you get points.

We are earning points for going out to eat!  I don’t know how many points we need, I forgot, something like around 30?  It is a lot though!

Making Rice Krispy Treats!

Yesterday night, the boys went to Scouts. We made Rice Crispy Treats.  We ate some little marshmallows. Then Momma said, “I have some big marshmallows.” We said, “yes, please!”

After we ate them, Adrian climbed down and he got into mischief!  Maybe he pulled one of the chairs–he is strong enough to–then Adrian got the scissors.  Or maybe the scissors were at the edge of the counter and he got them.  Then he cut some little squares.  Now he just needs to learn how to make some pictures.

First Momma melted some marshmallows in butter.  Me and Audrey put the Rice Crispy in the dish and then I got to mix it! Then we poured it into the pan with the marshmallows. We ate some and smooched it down into the cake thing a majiggy.  Then we put the chocolate chips on.  We held it and it was finished. We just needed to cook it to melt the chocolate chips.  Then Momma took a knife and buttered the chocolate, like you have bread and you want to put the butter on it.  But it was Rice Crispy Treats and you put chocolate on it.

Momma cut it and then we let it sit a little.  Then we ate it while Momma read to us.

I liked it!

Seven pictures, just like how old I am!

Date with Daddy

Today I went out with Daddy.  Yesterday was my birthday.  We always have a date when it is your birthday.

This time we went to Hobby Lobby.  I was nervous.  We looked for ear rings in the jewelry section.

Daddy (you might call Allan) asked the payer to get my ears pierced at Claires.  I was nervous and excited.  I really wanted my ears pierced.  I really wanted to for a long time.  Momma and Daddy said “no, no, no, because I wasn’t responsible!”  Because I am responsible, they let me get them today.

I picked out my earrings, they are pink with flowers.  When I got on the chair, she gave me a teddy bear.  She said the teddy bear had her ears pierced! The earrings were gold sparkly.   It was a black teddy bear.

Then she colored with a pen on my ears and said that is where the holes are going to be.   Daddy looked at it.  Then she put the earrings in something and then held it up to my ear and then poked it into my ear.  Then did the other ear.

It hurt!  I didn’t cry.

I got a free one and another pair that was not free.  One was with butterflies, pink and purple.  Those ones were the free ones.  The others were strawberries.  I picked one out for Momma.  Momma’s is a flower like mine, but with different color petals.

The ear piercer gave me some ear cleaner medicine to help my ears get better.  She also put some on my ears.

Then we went to the Refinery coffee shop.  We got a big package for the coffee shop at church.  I got a bagel at Panera Bread.  Then we got ice cream at Cold Stone.  Mine had strawberries and blueberries.  Daddy had a double coffee something.  We couldn’t eat it all so we brought it home.

I gave Momma her earrings and she said “do you want me to put these on my ears?”  I said, “yes”.  Momma and me are wearing our earrings.

I have to wear my new earrings for a month!  Then I have to wear earrings everyday for a year.  Probably around my birthday I will take them out.

I have to clean them three times a day with cotton or a Q-tip.   I have to have clean hands.  She said to twist them and wiggle them back and forth every time I put the medicine on.  I can’t play with my ears unless my hands are washed clean.

Momma and Daddy said that I can only wear little earrings.  They have to be sterling silver or gold so my ears don’t get infected.  But I can’t change it until another month.

I like my new earrings!

Happy SEVENTH Birthday!

Today is Andrea’s Seventh Birthday!

Yesterday Andrea was surprised with a party with Uncle Joe, Auntie Lauri and Uncle George and her cousins Esther and Georgie.  Grandma and Grandpa planned it all and brought a wonderful chocolate cake and pizza!

Andrea,  I am so glad that God gave you to us as our daughter!  Thank you for your smiles and hugs and giggles.  You are a great helper.   You are learning to be a wonderful cook.

Have a wonderful birthday!  We love you lots!

Happy Birthday my Beautiful Girl!

We love you very much!

Friends Over and Hatching Butterflies!

Wednesday friends came over because we had hatching butterflies.  Six of them!  And Grandma and Grandpa came over.

One hatched while Grandpa and Nana wasn’t there.  He was totally done when they came.  Sarah and Thomas saw it hatching!

We had fun playing with the butterflies and with our friends.  It took awhile for all of them to hatch.

Sarah did not want a butterfly in her hair.  But her Momma told her it doesn’t hurt.  Finally she did it!

There was three butterfly hatched while we were playing with them.  Thomas put one on Mark’s arm.  Sarah put another one on a different arm and I put it in the middle of him–on his nose!  He could not do anything because he had two butterflies on his arms 🙂

I was sad about the last butterfly.  We did not keep guard like Momma said.  We all weren’t obeying her.  It hatched and we did not know it.  I learned that I have to obey when I am told to.

I want to see if it is a girl or a boy.  I have to wait till it opens its wings.

I am happy because we raised eleven butterflies all together!  And soon I get to play with the new butterfly!

Silly pictures!

Yesterday we had a party and Auntie Lorraine and Uncle Steve came.  They are from Swaziland!  They are Uncle John’s Momma and Daddy.  I like them!  And Oma and Opa came.  We had tea and we ate dinner.  I showed everybody our chrysalises.  We have seven now!

I took pictures of everybody being silly.  Auntie Lorraine’s didn’t turn out  :(  I am sad.  If Auntie Lorraine gives me another silly picture I will put it on my blog  🙂

Here are the pictures.

Riding my Bike, Plus Church!

On Sunday, Mark helped me to ride my bike!  I did it the first time!  I can ride my bike!

I can ride it in the grass.  I can ride it on the bumps.  I can ride it on the dirt driveway.  I can’t ride it if both cars are there, I have trouble driving it through.

I feel good about it!  I snitched one of the pictures Mark took of me.  I like this picture!

I got to go to the First Grade Class for Sunday School!  Momma and Daddy surprised me by being my teachers!  I don’t remember my other teachers.  I like it!  It will be a fun year!

On Sunday before church in the morning, the butterfly hatched!   Oma taught me a poem about a butterfly in the three year old Sunday School class.

I saw a little caterpillar. It wiggled up a tree.
It wiggled long, it wiggled short, it wiggled right at me!
I put him in a little box, “Don’t go away!” I said.
But when I opened up the box, he was a butterfly instead!
I could never make one, even if I tried.
Only God in Heaven can make a butterfly!

We let our butterfly go.  It will go to Mexico, so it can stay there for the winter.  She will married and then she will have her babies.   She will lay her eggs on the way back.

Making a chrysalis

Yesterday, we saw a caterpillar hang in a “j”.  Then it made its chrysalis!  It made a chrysalis faster than the last one!  He wiggled.  He is a wiggle worm! Now he is in his chysalis.  He is all green with yellow dots on his front and black and white on top.  The white is holding him up to some paper.

Today we saw another one make his chrysalis.  It took longer than all of them to start making his chrysalis.

I liked watching it make the chrysalis.Â
